Secona Container Depot was established in 2003, providing services to various Shipping Lines in the Container Industry.
Our main business areas are:

The Container Depot operations in Durban are as follows:
- 30 Marajh Road, Durban with a container park area of 10 000 square meters, which will be able to handle a volume of approx. 1 400 TEU’s.
- 623 Bellair Road, Cato Manor, Durban with a container park area of 12 000 square meters, which handles an approximate volume of 1 800 TEU’s.
All equipment is handled with side loader container handlers by professional certified drivers.
- 2 x 8 ton = 3 stage lift – Forklift
- 2 x 12 ton = 4 stage lift – Side lifter
- 6 x 16 ton = 7 stage lift – Side lifter
- 1 x 45 ton = Reach stacker
Our Depots are strategically positioned within a 5km radius from the Durban Container Terminal, boasting a fully walled & gated facilities with hardened surface & 24-hour security.
Secona Container Depots also escapes the congestion caused by the Durban Container Terminal and is within close proximity of the new Khangela Bridge which evacuates the Durban Harbour.

Secona Freight Logistics offers a fully Integrated Railway solution partnering with Transnet Freight Rail and supported by various Shipping Lines on cabotage agreements.
Our Railway service is operated on a “HUB and SPOKE” principle between the main Ports in South Africa i.e. . Durban, Johannesburg, Pretoria, and Cape Town which are interlinked by Rail Network and Rail Sidings.
Commodities such as Malt, Wheat, Salt and Sugar are being railed between Ports and distributed to the consignees under very close monitoring by our Track and Trace teams at the respective locations.
